The speaker is not broken. It is too far from the router, same as a phone would be.
Prove it
Play audio from a phone in the same spot. If the phone struggles, the speaker will struggle. Move the router or add a node before you exchange the speaker.
Setup is easier in a room with a strong signal. Join Wi-Fi there, then carry the speaker to the weak room only after a node exists.
The hub visit
Smart hub setup joins a voice hub or display to Wi-Fi, assigns a room, and builds one routine with devices you already have. We do not buy a house full of plugs as part of the visit.
One ecosystem. If your lights are in a different app than the speaker, say which one you want to keep. We will not mirror every bulb into two worlds in a 45-minute window.
Privacy
Know how to mute the microphone. We show you that before we leave. A speaker you cannot silence will end up unplugged, which also stops the routine.
