When online help is enough for a computer problem

Screen share fixes software. It cannot hear a clicking drive.

Good online jobs
Mail that will not send, a printer queue stuck on the computer, Windows updates, startup cleanup, and a browser full of toolbars are online work. You can read the screen and approve each step.
The session needs a working internet connection on that computer, or a phone hotspot if the home network is the thing being fixed. Say which one when you book.

Jobs that need a visit
Liquid spills, cracked screens, drives that click, and computers that never reach the desktop need an in-home diagnosis. A screen share cannot start if the machine never starts.
File transfers of large photo libraries are happier in person, with a cable and time. Online help can start the copy. It should not be your only copy of the only photos.
How the session works
You open the secure share from the link the technician sends. You can watch the cursor. Disconnecting ends our access. We do not leave a remote tool running after the visit.
Notes from the session say what changed. If a password was reset, you set the new one. We do not store it.
